The Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Reed Arena to take on the Texas A&M Aggies this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Alabama Crimson Tide lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 15-10 (6-6 SEC) on the season after being defeated by the Florida Gators, 71-53, this past Saturday. Alabama had no answers on the offensive end agianst the Gators and could never fight back into the game after they entered halftime trailing by a 35-26 margin. Alabama shot just 26.3% from beyond the arc and was outrebounded by the Gators by a 31-23 margin. Leading the way for the Crimson Tide was Kira Lewis Jr. who had 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

On the season, Alabama is averaging 74.4 ppg on 45.3% shooting from the field. The Crimson Tide is averaging 7.1 three-pointers per game on 34.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Alabama has been led by Kira Lewis Jr. (14.4 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.9 apg), John Petty (11.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.7 apg), Donta Hall (10.9 ppg, 8.5 rpg), and Dazon Ingram (7.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.6 apg).

Defensively, Alabama is allowing their opponents to average 72.5 ppg on 44.7% shooting from beyond the arc. The Crimson Tide have a rebound margin of 4.2 and a turnover margin of -1.4.

The Texas A&M Aggies had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 10-14 (3-9 SEC) on the season after being defeated by the South Carolina Gamecocks, 84-77, this past Saturday. Texas A&M struggled defensively agianst the Gamecocks offense and couldn’t fight back after South Carolina used an 8-0 run to take a 72-62 lead with 2:01 left in regulation. Texas A&M allowed South Carolina to shoot 42.2% from the field and 51.6% from beyond the arc in the loss. Leading the way for the Aggies was Savion Flagg who had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.

On the season, Texas A&M is averaging 71.8 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field. The Aggies are averaging 6.6 three-pointers per game on 30.9% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Texas A&M has been led by TJ Starks (13.0 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.2 spg), Wendell Mitchell (12.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.2 apg, 1.8 spg), Savion Flagg (12.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2.5 apg), and Josh Nebo (8.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.5 bpg).

The Crimson Tide are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a double-digit loss at home, however, are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The Aggies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss, however, are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games.

Alabama has lost 3 of their last 5 games and currently rank T-137th in scoring offense, 134th in FG%, and 204th in scoring defense.

Texas A&M has lost 4 of their last 6 games and currently rank 206th in scoring offense, 208th in scoring defense, and 78th in defensive FG%.

Alabama has really struggled over their last two games on the offensive end as in their recent two losses against Mississippi State & Florida, the Crimson Tide are averaging just 57.5 ppg. Texas A&M has been playing better as of late as they had solid victories over Missouri & Georgia and although their defense isn’t as strong as we’ve seen in previous years, still are solid on the defense end. Alabama is just 3-6 on the road this season and as I think the Aggies will be able to do some damage agianst the Crimson Tide defense, I’m taking Texas A&M and the points in this one. Good Luck!

Pick:
Texas A&M Aggies +1.5
