The Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas A&M Aggies meet in SEC conference college basketball action from Reed Arena on Saturday evening.

As a team, Arkansas is averaging 81.8 points per game on 46% shooting from the field, 35.6% from behind the arc and 65.8% from the foul line this season.
The Texas A&M Aggies will be looking to bounce back after an 88-73 loss to Texas Southern as 16.5-point favorites in their last outing. Wendell Mitchell led the Aggies with 21 points on 8 of 13 shooting with 5 threes, 4 assists and 3 steals while Savion Flagg added 17 points on 8 of 12 shooting with a team-high 9 rebounds and 6 assists. TJ Starks added 14 points on 5 of 12 shooting with 3 threes and Christian Mekowulu added 11 points to finish off the group of double-digit scorers for the Aggies in the loss. As a team, Texas A&M is averaging 75.5 points per game on 45.2% shooting from the field, 29.1% from behind the arc and 68.7% from the foul line this season.
Arkansas is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 conference games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. Texas A&M is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games following a loss and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 conference games while the under is 7-1 in their last 8 games overall. Arkansas is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams but just 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams at Texas A&M.
I can understand why the Aggies may be favored at home as the Razorbacks have struggled at Reed Arena in past meetings. However, just because I understand the line, doesn’t mean I agree with it. The Aggies haven’t been all that good this season, including a disappointing loss to Texas Southern in their last outing as 16.5-point favorites. Texas Southern does have a win over Oregon as well, but that’s still a game that the Aggies should win even if they don’t cover. Arkansas has been the better team this year and in this line of work, you’ll make more than you lose by taking points with the better team, so I’ll do just that and back Arkansas with the free bucket here.
