Texas A&M Aggies -5.5 O/U: 138.5
The Vanderbilt Commodores and the Texas A&M Aggies will meet up on the college basketball circuit on Saturday.
Vanderbilt sits at 9-19 on the season. The Commodores haven’t won a game yet in this calendar year (16 games), dropping to Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida in their last four appearances.
In the loss to the Gators, Vanderbilt’s top scorer was Sabel Lee with 15 points, five assists and two boards. Matthew Moyer and Simisola Shittu each chipped in 10 points with a combined 14 rebounds between them for the Commodores in that one.
Over on the Texas A&M side, they’re 12-15 this season. After notching consecutive wins over Alabama and Arkansas, the Aggies dropped their last game 66-55 to LSU on Tuesday.
In the loss to the Tigers, Texas A&M’s top scorer was Wendell Mitchell with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. The only other Aggies player in double-figures in that one was Christian Mekowlulu, with 11 points and three boards.
The Commodores are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 19-40 ATS in their last 59 overall. Vanderbilt is 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games and the under is 7-0 in their last seven overall.
Meanwhile, the Aggies are 5-2 ATS int heir last seven overall and 5-1 ATS in the last six after a straight-up loss. Texas A&M is 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the SEC and the under is 5-1 in their last six home games.
Vanderbilt came out really flat at home against Florida, mustering just 29 points in the first half and 26 in the second in a 16-point loss. That’s been the trend for the Commodores lately though, as they haven’t topped 67 points in any of their last 10 games.
Texas A&M has had a few duds on the scoreboard lately as well, but this shouldn’t be anything they can’t handle. I’ve got no issues taking the Aggies here.
