The Texas State Bobcats welcome UALR Trojans to town for Sun Belt college basketball action Thursday.

The Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans are eyeing a third straight win after upending South Alabama 91-63 on Saturday as a three point home favorite.

This was never in doubt with UALR taking a 20 point lead in to the break behind torrid 61.2% marksmanship and a 24-11 advantage at the stripe.

Deondre Burns topped the Trojans scoring spree with  22 points, seven boards and five assists with Jaizec tossing in 17 points.

Nikola Maric gave UALR another 14 points while Kamani Johnson added 12 points and seven rebounds followed by an eight point, six assist effort by Markquis Nowell.

The Texas State Bobcats are 14-3 overall and 3-1 in the Sun Belt after squeezing by Appalachian State 70-69 on Saturday as a 2.5 point road favorite.

Texas State was balanced on offense with Tre’Larenz Nottingham netting 16 point with three yanks followed by Nijal Pearson tossing in another 16 points.

The Bobcats received ten points and five boards from Eric Terry while Jaylen Shead added eight points, six rebounds and four helpers.
