Texas Tech Red Raiders -26.0 . Total 141.0

The Tennessee State Tigers hit the road for a matchup with the 12th ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders, as part of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational.  The Tigers are (3-1), after a 99-65 win over Fisk University. The Red Raiders are (3-0), coming off a 103-74 win over Houston Baptist.

In the Tigers win over Fisk University, Tennessee State was led by Emmanuel Egbuta.  Egbuta recorded a double-double in the game, registering 15 points and grabbing 11 boards.  The Tigers shot a 52% clip from the floor and 24% from 3-point range. The Tigers out rebounded Fisk, 47 to 27.  Tennessee State forced Fisk to shoot just 11% from distance, making just 2 of their 18 attempts, while forcing 21 turnovers.

The Red Raiders in the win over Houston Baptist were led by Jahmi’us Ramsey.  Ramsey totaled 25 points in the game, connecting on 10 of his 13 attempts from the floor.  TJ Holyfield added 21 points and 2 steals in the win. Texas Tech shot a sizzling 60% from the floor and over 46% from 3-point range.  Texas Tech smoked Houston Baptist on the glass, out rebounding them 48 to 28. The Red Raiders had 27 assists in the win.

Recent Betting Trends:

Tigers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

The over is 9-2 in Tigers last 11 road games.

Red Raiders are 17-4 ATS in their last 21 games overall.

Red Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games.

The under is 15-7 in Red Raiders last 22 non-conference games.

The Tigers are about 1 possession away from being 4-0 to start the season.  The Tigers other 2 wins on the year came against Lipscomb and Alabama A&M. The Tigers loan loss is to Chattanooga. Tennessee State was projected to finish towards the bottom of the OVC this year.  Texas Tech has already faced an OVC member this year, Eastern Illinois. The Red Raiders won that game by 25 points. Eastern Illinois is a better and more experienced team then the Tigers. I’ll take Texas Tech to cover this spread, 89-61.
