Saturday college basketball action gives a matchup between the Baylor Bears and the #15 Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The Baylor Bears come off a 59-53 victory against visiting Oklahoma on Sunday as a six point home favorite that snapped a two game skid.

Baylor averages around 71 points per game but shot the ball poorly but were fortunate that their defense was able to pick up the slack.

Devonte Bandoo carried the Bears offense with 19 points followed by Jared Butler with eleven points and five boards.

Baylor received nine points and seven rebounds from Mario Kegler while Mark Vital and Makai Mason combined for 12 points, eight rebounds and nine helpers.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders ran their record to 20-5 with a 78-50 victory at Oklahoma State on Wednesday as a six point favorite.

Texas Tech has won five of six to sit in second in the conference with the nation’s number two defense being their calling card.

Jarrett Culver was the Red Raiders top weapon with 19 points followed by Matt Mooney with 15 points and four pulls.

Texas Tech saw eleven points and seven rebounds from Tariq Owens with Davide Moretti netting nine points and handing out eight assists.

Baylor Bears are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall and Baylor Bears are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games and Baylor Bears are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big 12.

Texas Tech Red Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Texas Tech Red Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big 12.

Home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings and Baylor Bears are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Texas Tech and underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.

Texas Tech and their defense seem poised for revenge at home and I think they get it…

Pick:
Texas Tech -6.5

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
