Friday college basketball action features the Texas Tech Red Raiders hosting the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils.

The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils struggled in all areas of their 106-37 opening day loss a Nebraska. The Delta Devils connected at only 19.1% from the floor while allowing 55.1% accuracy.

Jordan Evans led the Mississippi Valley State offense with 12 points and six boards on 5-15 from the floor while Dante Scott netted ten points and hauled in ten rebounds. Marcus Mitchell gave the Delta Devils seven points and four yanks on 3-7 but the remainder of the team managed just eight points.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders kicked off their season with a one sided 87-37 victory against visiting Incarnate Word as a 33 point favorite on Tuesday. Texas Tech led by just nine at the half before a 48-7 run over the final 20 minutes ended the Cardinals upset bid.

Jarrett Culver tossed in a contest high 16 points and handed out four assists on 6-10 from the floor followed by  a 13 point, six pull effort from Brandone Francis on 5-8 shooting. Matt Mooney was next in line for the Red Raiders with 12 points and six helpers on 5-8 accuracy while Davide Moretti and Kyler Edwards combined for 19 points.

MVSU are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall and over is 14-5-1 in MVSU last 20 road games. Texas Tech  are 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall and over is 7-3 in TTU last 10 overall.
