The Purdue Boilermakers and Texas Longhorns meet Sunday in college basketball action at the Frank Erwin Center.

The Purdue Boilermakers need a big victory here after splitting their last six games. The Purdue Boilermakers are averaging 78.1 points on 45.5 percent shooting and allowing 67.1 points on 42.3 percent shooting. Carsen Edwards is averaging 23.9 points and 2.9 assists while Ryan Cline is averaging 14 points and 3.3 rebounds. Evan Boudreaux is the third double-digit scorer and Matt Haarms is grabbing 4.7 rebounds. The Purdue Boilermakers are shooting 38.2 percent from beyond the arc and 74.8 percent from the free throw line. The Purdue Boilermakers are allowing 36 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 33.8 rebounds per game. The Purdue Boilermakers have lost their two road games this season.

The Texas Longhorns could also use a win here to snap a three-game losing streak. The Texas Longhorns are averaging 72.2 points on 40.5 percent shooting and allowing 67.1 points on 39.7 percent shooting. Kerwin Roach II is averaging 14.9 points and 4.1 assists while Dylan Osetkowski is averaging 11.3 points and 9.1 rebounds. Jaxson Hayes is grabbing 5.3 rebounds and Elijah Mitrou-Long is dishing 2.3 assists. The Texas Longhorns are shooting 28.9 percent from beyond the arc and 64.8 percent from the free throw line. The Texas Longhorns are allowing 33 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.8 rebounds per game. The Texas Longhorns have won three of their five home games this season.

The Boilermakers are 37-16 ATS in their last 53 non-conference games, 1-7 ATS in their last 8 Sunday games and 7-17-1 ATS in their last 25 games overall. The Longhorns are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Sunday games, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The under is 7-1 in Longhorns last 8 overall. The under is 4-0 in Boilermakers last 4 overall.

Neither one of these teams are playing all that well and you could make a case for either side. For me, I like Texas at home. The Purdue Boilermakers are being outscored by an average of 10 points in their two road games while shooting under 40 percent from the field. The Texas Longhorns give themselves a chance to win any time they take the floor due to their defense, and they have the best win of the season between these clubs with a victory over North Carolina. I don't like the way Purdue is playing right now. I give Texas the edge at home.

Texas Longhorns +1.5
