Towson Tigers -1.5 O/U: 140.5
The Drexel Dragons and the Towson Tigers will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Drexel is currently sitting at 12-15 on the year. Following consecutive wins over Elon and UNCW, Drexel has dropped their last pair against Charleston and James Madison.
In the loss to the Dukes, Drexel’s lead scorer was Alihan Demir, with 23 points, five rebounds and two assists. James Butler posted a double-double for the Dragons in that game with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Over on the Towson side, they’re 9-17 this season. The Tigers have lost two of their last three games, taking out James Madison while falling to Charleston and Delaware in that time.
In the 2OT loss to the Blue Hens, Towson guard Brian Fobbs was the team’s top scorer with 29 points and nine rebounds. Tobias Howard added 15 points for the Tigers there, and Dennis Tunstall pulled down a whopping 21 rebounds.
The Dragons are 4-0 ATS in their last four Saturday games and 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall. Drexel is 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus the CAA and 5-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up loss.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the CAA. Towson is 6-15 ATS in the last 21 after an ATS loss and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 home games.
Drexel has failed to hit 70 points in three of their last four games, but oddly enough they were victorious in two of those outings (the outlier was the 86-84 loss to Charleston at home).
Towson has had a few scoring difficulties as well (66 or fewer in two of their last three), and hasn’t exactly been overwhelming at home lately. I’m going to go with the road Dragons on the cover here, but I’m not thrilled about it.
