Troy Trojans -5.5 O/U: 156
The Little Rock Trojans and the Troy Trojans will meet up on the college basketball court Thursday.
Little Rock tumbles into this matchup at 7-15 on the year. The Trojans have dropped their last five straight games, falling to Texas State, TX-Arlington, Coastal Carolina, App State and Arkansas State in that time.
In the loss to the Red Wolves, Little Rock’s Rayon Tucker led the way with 23 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Deondre Burns added 19 points for the Trojans in that one, and Kris Bankston had 15 points.
Over on the Troy side, they’re 10-11 on the season. The Trojans have lost their last three straight games, falling to LA-Monroe, LA-Lafayette and South Alabama during that stretch.
In the loss to the Jaguars, Troy’s Darian Adams put up 17 points, five rebounds and four assists to lead the team. Alex Hicks and Jordon Varnado each had 16 points for the Trojans in that one, with a combined four assists and 15 rebounds.
Little Rock is 2-6 ATS in their last eight Thursday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss. Little Rock is also 0-4 ATS in their last four road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five versus the Sun Belt.
Meanwhile, Troy is 9-27-1 ATS in their last 37 Thursday games and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 overall. Troy is also 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 versus the Sun Belt and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.
Things don’t look too rosy for Little Rock right now, but the good news is that they’ve posted at least 71 points in each of their last four outings. Trouble is, those were all losses.
Troy isn’t doing much better lately, but they’re pretty solid scoring as well, with at 156 combined points in their last two outings.
There’s not too much to get excited about here (unless you’ve got your eye on the over), but on the home lift I’ll take Troy in this battle of the Trojans.
