Thursday college basketball features the Troy Trojans hosting the Georgia Southern Eagles.

The Georgia Southern Eagles fell to 2-2 in the Sun Belt after an 87-85 defeat to visiting UL Lafayette on Saturday as a 5.5 point favorite.

Georgia Southern fell behind by nine points heading to the break before a second half come back ran out of time with a 6-28 effort on threes being costly.

Tookie Brown gave the Eagles 21 points, four pulls and four helpers with Quan Jackson adding another 21 points and six boards.

Isaiah Crawley netted 13 points and hauled in ten rebounds while GSU saw the duo of Montae Glenn and Calvin Wishart combine for 19 points with Glenn grabbing eight boards.

The Troy Trojans are gunning for consecutive victories after downing Arkansas State 90-85 in overtime Saturday as a one point road favorite.

Troy held a 49.1%-42.4% shooting advantage but turned the ball over 14 times which helped the Red Wolves stay close with eleven more shots.

Jordon Varnado saved the Trojans pouring in 27 points with six rebounds while BJ Miller added 21 points, five pulls and five assists.

Troy received 17 points and five boards from Javan Johnson with Alex Hicks rounding out the top contributors with 12 points and three yanks.
