The East Carolina Pirates and the Tulane Green Wave will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.

East Carolina enters the action here with a 9-16 mark. The Pirates have lost their last five straight games, dropping to Connecticut, Wichita State, South Floriad, Memphis and Tulsa in that time.

In the loss to the Golden Hurricane, East Carolina’s top scorer was Shawn Williams on 26 points and three rebounds. Jayden Gardner added a double-double for the Pirates in that one with 19 points and 16 rebounds of his own.

Over on the Tulane side, they’re 4-21 this year. The Wave are on a pretty epic losing streak right now, and they’ve dropped to Wichita State, Tulsa, Houston and Memphis in just their last four.

In the loss to the Tigers, Tulane guard Caleb Daniels led the team on 25 points with six rebounds and five assists. Moses Wood added 17 points and Samir Sehic put up 10 points with 10 rebounds.

East Carolina is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up loss. The Pirates are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine overall.
Meanwhile, the Wave are 20-41-3 ATS in their last 64 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. Tulane is 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four overall.

Well, if there’s one bright spot in this matchup, it’s that things should be fairly competitive. East Carolina eked out a 66-65 home win against the Wave on the last day of January.

Still, even with the home lift I don’t trust Tulane to be able to step up and score enough to win this one. I’m going to go with the Pirates here.

East Carolina Pirates +1
