The Line: Tulane Green Wave +2 -- Over/Under: 145
The Georgia State Panthers and the Tulane Green Wave will meet up in college basketball activity from Devlin Fieldhouse on Wednesday.
Georgia State enters this one with a 4-2 mark on the year. The Panthers have fallen to Montana and Creighton this season but otherwise beaten East TN State, Mercer, St. Bonaventure and Georgia.
In the Bulldogs game, Georgia State guard Malik Benlevi put up 24 points with seven rebounds to lead the team in both categories. Damon Wilson and D’Marcus Simonds each had 17 points and produced 11 assists and eight rebounds between them.
Over on the Tulane side, they’re 2-3 this season. The Green Wave's only two victories have come against Coastal Carolina and SD State, and they lost their last appearance versus Louisiana.
In the Cajuns game, Tulane’s Jordan Cornish led the team on 20 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Caleb Daniels was the only other player in double-figures with 10 points and four rebounds with two assists.
The Panthers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight versus a team with a losing straight-up record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up win. Georgia State is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Wednesday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Wave are 15-35-3 ATS in their last 53 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Sun Belt. The over is 17-4 in Tulane’s last 21 Wednesday games and 18-8 in their last 26 home games.
Georgia State has looked pretty good overall this year, though they couldn’t do much against Creighton. The Panthers do get credit for bouncing back on a nice effort over Georgia, though.
As for Tulane, they started out fairly well but have produced just 116 points over their last two games.
I’m going Panthers here.
