The Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks are eyeing a third consecutive victory after upending UNC-Asheville 87-70 as an eleven point favorite on Saturday. UTM took a ten point lead after 20 minutes and were never challenged with 21 Bulldogs turnovers paving the way to 17 more looks.
Quintin Dove led the Skyhawks offensive explosion with 22 points and six rebounds on 10-12 marksmanship while Preston Parks and Parrish Hewitt netted 13 points each and combined for seven boards and nine helpers on 10-22 shooting. Kevin Little gave Tennessee-Martin eleven points and seven assists followed by a combined 17 points from DelFinko Bogan and Derek Hawthorn Jr.
The Tulane Green Wave saw their losing streak reach four games with a 62-61 loss to visiting Southeastern Louisiana as a 10.5 point favorite on Saturday. Tulane held a 44.9%-41.7% edge in marksmanship but 17 turnovers led the way to a decisive eleven more Lions shots.
Jordan Cornish was the top Green Wave scorer with 18 points and five boards along with a team high six turnovers on 6-13 from the floor Caleb Daniels gave Tulane 14 points on 5-10 accuracy followed by Connor Crabtree and Kevin Zhang with eight points apiece with Zhang hauling in nine rebounds.
