The Line: Tulsa Golden Hurricane +2 -- Over/Under: 146
The Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane will meet up in college basketball action on Wednesday.
OK State rolls into this game with a 4-3 mark this year. The Cowboys have beaten UTSA, Charleston, Memphis and LSU this year but fallen to Charlotte, Villanova and Minnesota thus far.
In the Gophers game, Oklahoma State’s Lindy Waters logged 18 points and eight rebounds, while Michael Weathers had 17 points and Mike Cunningham chipped in 12 of his own.
Over on the Tulsa side, they’re 5-3 this season. The Hurricane have taken out Alcorn State, SC State, California Baptist, Little Rock and TX-Arlington but recorded losses to Nevada, Southern IL and Utah.
In the Utes matchup, Tulsa’s Jeriah Horne led the way with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Sterling Taplin added 12 points, three assists and three boards. Lawson Korita was the only other Hurricane player in double-figures with 11 points.
Oklahoma State is 5-0 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. The Cowboys are 18-8 ATS in their last 26 road games and the under is 11-3-1 in their last 15 overall.
Meanwhile, the Hurricane are 5-0 ATS in their last five versus the Big 12 and 6-1 ATS in their last seven following a straight-up loss. Tulsa is 1-5 ATS in their last six home games and the under is 4-1 in their last five versus the Big 12.
Aside from a couple of duds on the scoreboard this season, OK State has been putting up points at a pretty decent clip overall. Tulsa has some solid scorers on their roster as well however (despite logging just 17 in the first half versus Utah), so I expect them to hang around for most of the game here. I’m taking the Hurricane on the cover.
