Tulsa Golden Hurricane -4 O/U: 141
The Wichita State Shockers and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane will meet up on the college basketball circuit Wednesday.
Wichita State comes in here with a 12-12 mark so far. Following a four-game win streak over SMU, Tulsa, East Carolina and Tulane, the Shockers lost their last game to Cincinnati.
In the loss to the Bearcats, Wichita State’s Dexter Dennis topped the team with a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Markis McDuffie added 13 points and five boards for the Shockers there, and Jaime Echenique had 11 rebounds.
Over on the Tulsa side, they’re 16-10 this year. Since falling to Wichita State, the Hurricane have won their last three straight games, beating Temple, Tulane and East Carolina in that time.
In the OT win over the Pirates, Tulsa’s top scorer was Martins Igbanu, with 16 points and eight rebounds. Elijah Joiner would chip in 14 points and five rebounds for the Hurricane there, and Jeriah Horne managed 12 points with five boards.
Wichita State is 3-0-1 ATS in their last four Wednesday games and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Shockers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five versus the AAC and 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Hurricane are 5-1 ATS in their last six Wednesday games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss. Tulsa is 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and the over is 6-1 in their last seven home games.
The last time these teams met up ended in a 79-68 home victory for the Shockers, part of a nice run of four straight wins for them.
That said, Tulsa is obviously a much better team than that, and they’ve hit at least 76 points in each of their last three. I’m going to stick with the Golden Hurricane to get some home payback and cover here.
