The UC Davis Aggies welcome the Santa Barbara Gauchos to town in a Big West college basketball tilt.

The red hot UC Sant Barbara Gauchos have won five straight including a pair of victories in the Big West after upending UC Riverside 72-64 on Saturday.

UC Santa Barbara was down two at the break before a 40-30 second half run secured the win behind 49.1% shooting and a 14-3 edge at the line.

Amadou Sow gave the Gauchos explosiveness with 22 points and nine rebounds with Devearyl Ramsey right in his shadow with 20 points and four pulls.

UCSB saw 12 points and three yanks from Ar’Mond Davis while Jaquori McLaughlin contributed another 12 points and five helpers.

The UC Davis Aggies kicked off conference play with back to back defeats after falling at Long Beach State 82-77 as a three point road dog on Saturday.

UC Davis took an eight point lead in to the intermission but the 49ers rallied behind 53.7% marksmanship and a 32-10 advantage at the stripe.

Joe Mooney kept the Aggies competitive with 29 points, five yanks and four assists while TJ Shorts added 19 points, three pulls and five helpers.

Siler Schneider gave UC Davis ten points and another three yanks followed by a seven point, six rebound effort from Caleb Fuller.

Over is 14-5 in UCSB last 19 road games and UCSB are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 road games. UC Davis  are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall and under is 35-16 in UC Davis last 51 home games. UCSB are 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings.

UC Davis is a very dangerous team that nobody in the Big West wants to face in the tournament but I’ll still go with UCSB…

Pick:
UCSB -2

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
