UC Riverside Highlanders -1 O/U: 131.5
The UC Davis Aggies and the UC Riverside Highlanders will match up in college basketball action on Saturday.
UC Davis enters this matchup with a 5-14 record overall. The Aggies have lost four of their last five games, dropping to UC Irvine, Long Beach State, UCSB and Hawaii during that stretch of outings.
In the loss to the Warriors, Aggies center Matt Neufeld led the team on 17 points and six rebounds. AJ John added 16 points and three rebounds for the Aggies, and TJ Shorts posted 11 points with eight assists.
Over on the UC Riverside court, they’re 8-15 on the season so far. After bagging consecutive wins over Hawaii and Cal Poly, the Highlanders have dropped their last pair versus UC Irvine and Cal Poly.
In the loss to the Mustangs, UC Riverside’s Callum McRae was the only player in double-figures with 10 points, five rebounds and one assist. Menno Dijkstra was the Highlanders’ top rebounder with seven boards along with six points.
The Aggies are 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven versus the Big West. UC Davis is 2-7 ATS in their last nine after a straight-up loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games.
Meanwhile, the Highlanders are 4-1 ATS in the last five home games and 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine after an ATS loss. UC Riverside is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big West and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight overall.
There’s not much to like about UC Davis lately. In their last five games they’ve hit 70 points just twice, and they haven’t been close in their last three losses.
UC Riverside is pretty sketchy these days as well, and they’ve logged just 109 combined points across their last two games. Needless to say, I’m not thrilled about either one of these squads but with the home lift I think the Highlanders can bag a win and cover here.
