South Florida has won 6 of their last 9 games and has been led by their defense that ranks 43rd in scoring defense, 41st in defensive FG%, and 14th in steals per game.
UCF has won 7 of their last 10 games and similar to the Bulls, have been led by their defense that ranks 28th in scoring defense, 16th in defensive FG%, and 29th in blocks per game.
UCF has won the last 6 games in this series, however, South Florida is a much better team than we’ve seen in recent years and although they couldn’t pick up wins at Temple or Cincinnati, they were competitive in both games. UCF is the better team here, however, they don’t have a lot of scoring options outside of B.J. Taylor & Aubrey Dawkins, and as I think the Bulls defense will be able to keep this one close, I’m taking South Florida and the points in this one.
