The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the UCLA Bruins will meet up on the college basketball court on Saturday.
Notre Dame sits at 6-2 on the year currently. The Irish’s pair of losses have come courtesy of Radford on November 14 and Oklahoma 85-80 in their last appearance on Tuesday.
In the Sooners game, Notre Dame’s Temple Gibbs led the team with 18 points alongside three rebounds and three assists, while John Mooney picked up a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Over on the UCLA side, they’re 6-2 this season. The Bruins’ pair of losses have come against Michigan State and North Carolina, but they’ve won their last two outings versus Hawaii and LMU.
In the Lions game, UCLA’s lead scorers were Jaylen Hands and Kris Wilkes, each with 17 points. Hands had a double-double with 10 assists, and Moses Brown also accomplished that feat on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Irish are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. Notre Dame is 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall.
Meanwhile, UCLA is 5-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games and 0-6 ATS in their last six versus the ACC. The under is 5-1 in the Bruins’ last six overall and 5-1 in their last six home games.
Aside from a limp effort in the Radford loss and a 76-74 escape versus Illinois on November 27, the Irish have looked pretty good thus far.
UCLA is probably on a slightly higher tier than the Irish however, and their losses have come thanks to some tough teams. I’m going to stick with the Bruins on the cover here.
