The Line: UCLA Bruins -9 -- Over/Under:
Out at Pauley Pavilion on Thursday evening, the Oregon State Beavers and the UCLA Bruins will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit.
Oregon State enters this game at 13-11 on the year. The Beavers have won their last two games, taking out Washington in their last appearance Saturday. In that one, Oregon State forward Tres Tinkle put up 29 points.
Tinkle is also the leading scorer for the Beavers on the year with 18.5 PPG and 7.0 RPG. Also in double-figures for Oregon State are Stephen Thompson (16.5 PPG; 3.3 RPG) and Drew Eubanks (13.1 PPG; 7.0 RPG).
Over on the UCLA side, they’re sitting at 17-8 on the season. The Bruins had won four straight games, but fell to Arizona State in their last outing. In that one, UCLA’s top scorer was guard Aaron Holiday with 20 points.
Holiday leads the UCLA squad on the season with 19.1 PPG and 5.5 APG. Also in double-digits for the Bruins are Kris Wilkes (13.7 PPG; 5.2 RPG), Thomas Welsh (13.0 PPG; 10.3 RPG) and Jaylen Hands (11.0 PPG).
Oregon State is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Thursday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the Pac-12. The Beavers are also 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall and 1-6 in the last seven following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. UCLA is also 2-6 ATS in their last eight Thursday games and 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games following a straight-up loss.
After a run of five games where they failed to get past 71 points, Oregon State has now put up a total of 191 points across their last two. The last time these two teams met, it was a low-scoring affair ending in a 69-63 home win for Oregon State. UCLA seems to be scoring pretty well over their last few games so I think this one could flirt with an over. I’ll take the Bruins to cover and get some revenge.
