UNC Greensboro piled up wins behind a solid defense and come into postseason play on a 4-game winning streak, however, it’s going to be difficult for the Spartans to return to the NCAA Tournament after losing by an average of 29.5 ppg in both games against the top-seed Wofford Terriers this season. UNC Greensboro comes into this match-up ranked 74th in scoring offense, 69th in scoring defense, and 2nd in turnover margin.

UNC Greensboro beat Samford twice this season by eight points, and its coming off a dominant win over Mercer in what could have been the Spartans best defensive effort of the season. Samford waxed Citadel on Friday, but the Bulldogs entered this tournament with a questionable defense and in shaky at best form. You have to question if Samford has another solid performance left given the inconsistency. The UNC Greensboro Spartans should have a third straight comfortable win in them over Samford.
