The Line: USC Trojans -13.5 -- Over/Under: 151.5
The California Golden Bears and the USC Trojans will meet up on the college basketball court on Thursday.
California is sitting at 5-7 overall. The Golden Bears are 1-2 over their last three games, taking out San Jose State and dropping to Fresno State and Seattle during that span.
In the Redhawks game, California was led by Paris Austin’s 20 points, five rebounds and two assists. Darius McNeill added 19 points, while Justice Sueing logged 15 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Bears.
Over on the USC side, they’re currently 7-6 this year. After dropping four straight games to Nevada, TCU, Oklahoma and Santa Clara, the Trojans have taken out Southern Utah and UC Davis in their last pair.
In the Aggies matchup, USC’s Bennie Boatwright logged 19 points with eight rebounds and four assists to lead the team. Derryck Thornton added 16 points and six assists for the Trojans, while Elijah Weaver posted 13 of his own.
The Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the Pac-12. California is 1-6 ATS in their last seven Thursday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
Meanwhile, the Trojans are 6-0 ATS in their last six Thursday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Pac-12. USC is 2-5 ATS in their last seven overall and 2-6 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up win.
California has been giving up a truckload of points over their last three games: 95 to Fresno State; 80 to San Jose State and 82 to Seattle, which explains the 1-2 mark in that time.
USC hasn’t necessarily been rock-solid either, but offensively they’ve been fairly consistent over their last three games or so. I’m going to stick with the Trojans on the cover.
