The Colorado Buffaloes and the USC Trojans meet in Pac-12 college basketball action from the Galen Center on Saturday night.

The Colorado Buffaloes will look to build on back-to-back wins after an 84-73 win over UCLA in their last outing. Shane Gatling led the Buffaloes with 28 points on 8 of 10 shooting with 7 threes and 5 assists with 3 steals while Tyler Bey chipped in 16 points with 10 rebounds and a pair of blocks for the double0double and D’Shawn Schwartz added 15 points with 3 threes. McKinley Wright IV had 12 points with a team-high 8 assists to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Colorado in the winning effort. Wright IV leads Colorado with an average of 12.7 points and 5 assists per game while Bey leads the Buffaloes in rebounding with 9 boards per game this season. As a team, Colorado is averaging 75.7 points per game on 45.9% shooting from the field, 33.2% from behind the 3-point line and 72.6% from the foul line this season.

The USC Trojans will look to find some measure of consistency after alternating wins and losses in each of their last 4 games following a 77-70 loss to Utah in their last outing. Jonah Mathews led USC with 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting with 4 threes while Bennie Boatwright came right behind with 17 points and 12 rebounds with 3 threes for the double-double. Nick Rakocevic added 10 points and 9 rebounds to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for USC in the loss while Derryck Thornton added 4 points to match his team-high 4 assists as well in the losing effort for the Trojans. Boatwright leads USC in scoring with 17.3 points per game while Rakocevic leads the Trojans in rebounding with 9.9 rebounds per game and Thornton leads USC in assists with 5 helpers per game this season. As a team, USC is averaging 77.3 points per game on 45.9% shooting from the field, 37.2% from behind the 3-point line and 66.4% from the foul line this season.

Colorado is 15-35-1 ATS in their last 51 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 12-4 in their last 16 games overall. USC is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Colorado is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams at USC.

The Trojans have been tough to beat at home as of late, covering 4 of their last 5 home games. However, USC has also had issues with consistency and while the Trojans will be eager to get the bad taste out of their mouths from the loss against Utah, I’m not sure Colorado will be the easiest of tasks as I really liked how the Buffaloes looked against UCLA. Yes, Colorado has had their fair share of struggles on the road over the last few years, but I think Colorado matches up pretty well with USC and has a chance at an outright upset so I’ll take Colorado and the points in this one.

Colorado +4.5
