The Line: USC Trojans -14.5 -- Over/Under: 162
The Long Beach State 49ers and the USC Trojans will be matching up in college basketball activity on Wednesday from Galen Center.
LBSU enters this one at 2-5 on the year. Aside from wins over Menlo and Iona, the Niners have dropped games to UCLA, Arizona State, MS State, Utah Valley and Oregon State.
In the Beavers game, Long Beach was led by Edon Maxhuni with 15 points, two assists and one rebound, while Temidayo Yussuf put up a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Over on the USC side, they’re 4-2 this season. The Trojans have fallen to Vanderbilt and Texas Tech this year while beating Robert Morris, Stetson, Missouri State and CSUB.
In the Roadrunners game, USC was led by Jordan Usher, who just missed a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Bennie Boatwright posted 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Trojans, and Shaqquan Aaron chipped in 18 points.
The 49ers are 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Pac-12 and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS win. LBSU is 1-11 ATS in their last 12 Wednesday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five Wednesday games.
Meanwhile, USC is 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the Big West and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 Wednesday games. The Trojans are 1-4 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win and the under is 11-1 in their last 12 Wednesday games.
Long Beach had a nice effort against a good Oregon State team, but couldn’t stay on top in the second half. Aside from that, most of the Niners’ other losses haven’t been close.
As for USC, they probably should have beaten Vanderbilt and didn’t look too strong against Texas Tech but they have put up 189 points over their last two games.
I’m going with the Trojans here and not thinking too much about it.
