Utah State Aggies -15.5 O/U: 147
The Colorado State Rams and the Utah State Aggies will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Colorado State comes into this game with a 7-10 mark on the year. After a five-game losing streak, the Rams have won their last two outings versus Air Force and New Mexico.
In the win over the Lobos, Colorado State’s Hyron Edwards led the way with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists. Both Adam Thistlewood and Nicolas Carvacho added 16 points for the Rams, and combined for 11 rebounds.
Over on the Utah State side, they’re 13-5 this season. The Aggies dropped a close one to Fresno State on January 9, but since then they’ve taken out Wyoming and San Jose State.
In the win over the Spartans, Utah State’s Diogo Brito was the lead scorer with 23 points, six assists and five rebounds. Neemias Queta nearly bagged a double-double in that one for the Aggies on 14 points and nine rebounds.
The Rams are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five road games and 4-0 ATS in their last four overall. Colorado State is also 4-0 ATS in their last four versus the Mountain West and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Aggies are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. Utah State is 1-5 ATS in their last six versus the Mountain West and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a straight-up win.
Colorado State can put up the points when they’re so motivated, but when they stall out—which happens fairly often—their final totals usually land in the 60s and the Rams are looking at another defeat.
As for Utah State, they’ve had a couple of flops against the higher-tier teams, but on the whole they’re pretty reliable with their offense and usually put up great numbers.
The line in this one is really thick, but I think it’s justified here with a good Aggies team playing at home against an overmatched opponent. I’m going Utah State.
