Wednesday college basketball gives us a bout between the New Mexico Lobos and the Utah State Aggies.

The New Mexico Lobos are hoping to get back in the win column after suffering an 81-73 defeat to visiting Fresno State on Saturday.

New Mexico is looking to finish the season strong and climb above .500 to possibly grab a spot in a postseason tournament somewhere.

Vance Jackson kept the Lobos competitive with 30 points and eight rebounds with Corey Manigault adding 16 points and six boards.

Anthony Mathis gave New Mexico another 13 points followed by Carlton Bragg with seven point and ten rebounds while Keith McGee chipped in with five points.

The Utah State Aggies are eyeing another win after knocking off Air Force 76-62 on Saturday as a ten point road favorite.

Red hot Utah State has won nine of ten to sit second in the Mountain West behind solid efforts at both ends of the floor.

Sam Merrill was the Aggies top option with 20 points and six helpers followed by Neemias Queta with 17 points and six boards. 

Utah State saw eleven points and eleven rebounds from Diogo Brito while Abel Porter with ten points, three yanks and five assists.
