The Utah State Aggies take the floor with the Washington Huskies in Friday NCAA first round college basketball.

The Washington Huskies were the best team in the PAC 12 but were surprised by a suddenly hot Oregon Ducks squad 68-48 in the conference title game.

Washington never got their offense going and were held to 33.3% from the floor and did not have any player reach double figures in points.

Jalen Nowell was the top scorer for Washington with eight points followed Jamal Bey with eight with the duo of Dominic Green and Noah Dickerson tossing in six points each.

The Utah State Aggies did nothing but win over the last month capped off by a 64-57 victory against the San Diego State Aztecs in the MWC championship game.

Sam Merrill paced the Aggies with a contest high 24 points with six boards while Neemias Querta netted 17 points with eight rebounds and two blocks.

Utah State received ten points and three assists from Abel Porter followed by Brock Miller who chipped in with six points and three yanks.

Washington Huskies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games and  are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and  are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss and are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

Utah State Aggies are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up win and  are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall and  are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. Pacific-12 and  are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 NCAA Tournament games.

Washington is certainly a good team but Utah State can score the basketball against anybody and I think the Huskies will have trouble keeping up…

Pick:
Utah State -3

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
