Thursday college basketball pits the Utah Valley Wolverines against the UMKC Kangaroos in the WAC quarterfinals.

The UMKC Kangaroos defeated the Chicago State Cougars 76-61 on the final day of the regular season to end a four game slide.

Xavier Bishop led the Kangaroos offense with 16 points, four pulls and six helpers with Jordan Giles topping all scorers with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Rob Whitfield gave UMKC another 13 points followed by Jamel Allen and Brandon McKissic with a combined 17 points and seven boards.

The surging Utah Valley Wolverines have seven in a row after upending the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners 76-61 on the last day of the year.

Connor Toolson poured in 22 points for the Wolverines and Jake Toolson netted 13 points with seven rebounds and five assists.

Ben Nakwaasah gave Utah Valley eleven points and five helpers followed by Baylee Steele and Richard Harward with nine points each with Harward grabbing eleven rebounds.

UMKC Kangaroos are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win and  are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 neutral site games and  are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games.
