Utah Utes -2 O/U: 145

The Oregon State Beavers and the Utah Utes will match up in college basketball activity Saturday.

Oregon State enters this matchup at 13-7 overall. After dropping three games in a four-game span, the Beavers managed to tough out a victory over Colorado in their last appearance Thursday.

In the win over the Buffaloes, Oregon State’s lead scorer was Stephen Thompson, with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists. Tres Tinkle added 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists for the Beavers in that one.

Over on the Utah side, they’re 11-9 this season. The Utes had a four-game winning streak going versus Washington State, Colorado, Stanford and California but dropped their last game against Oregon.

In the loss to the Ducks, Utah’s Sedrick Barefield and Donnie Tillman each bagged 16 points, and combined for seven assists and eight rebounds as well. Jayce Johnson doubled up for the Utes in that loss with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Oregon State is 7-2 ATS in their last nine overall and 10-3 ATS in the last 13 versus the Pac-12. The Beavers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last fie road games and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.

Meanwhile, the Utes are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Pac-12. Utah is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and the over is 5-0 in their last five Saturday games.

Oregon State fell behind 40-35 after the first half against the Buffaloes, but finished strong en route to a 76-74 road win that put the team back on the right track.

Still, the Beavers have been a little shaky recently, and Utah just looks like a more consistent option right now with their solid points totals over the last five games. I’m going to stick with the Utes in this one.
