Utah Utes -4.5 O/U: 160
The UCLA Bruins and the Utah Utes will meet up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
UCLA is currently sitting at 16-14 on the year. The Bruins are 4-2 in their last six games, with wins over Cal, Oregon State, Oregon and USC along with losses to Cal and Colorado.
In the Buffaloes game, UCLA’s Kris Wilkes led the team on 19 points with five rebounds and one assist. Jaylen Hands helped out the Bruins in that one with 18 points, three rebounds and one assist and Jules Bernard chipped in 11 points.
Over on the Utah side, they’re 16-13 this season. The Utes are 2-1 in their last three games, with a loss to Colorado sandwiched between wins over Washington State and USC.
In the Trojans game, Utah’s Parker Van Dyke nailed six 3-pointers on the way to 20 points and two assists. Timmy Allen also had a nice line for the Utes in that victory with his 19 points, five rebounds and five assists.
UCLA is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS loss and 9-23 ATS in their last 32 after a straight-up loss. The Bruins are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games.
Meanwhile, the Utes are 19-9-2 ATS in their salt 30 versus the Pac-12 and the over is 7-0 in their last seven home games. Utah is 47-20-3 ATS in their last 70 home games versus a team with a losing road record and the over is 8-3 in their last 11 overall.
In their last outing, UCLA had the misfortune of running into a Colorado team that’s playing good ball right now. The result was a 93-68 Bruins loss after they’d scored 183 total points in their previous two games.
I like UCLA to bounce back here and I expect this to be another close game. I’m going to say the Bruins sneak in there and cover, but it’ll be tight.
