Old Dominion at UTSA

UTSA Convocation Center
San Antonio, Texas
UTSA Roadrunners PK O/U: 140
The Old Dominion Monarchs and the UTSA Roadrunners will match up on the college basketball circuit Saturday.
Old Dominion cruises into this one at 16-5 on the season. The Monarchs have won their last five straight games, taking out FIU, LA Tech, Southern Miss, Charlotte and UTEP during that span.
In the win over the Miners, Old Dominion’s lead scorer was Justice Kithcart with 16 points, two rebounds and two assists. Ahmad Caver added 13 points with four rebounds and four assists for the Monarchs in that one.
Over on the UTSA side, they’re 11-9 this season. The Roadrunners are 2-2 in their last four games, with losses to Middle Tennessee and UAB sandwiched between wins over North Texas and Charlotte.
In the win over the 49ers, UTSA’s Jhivvan Jackson led the way on 28 points with four rebounds and two assists. Keaton Wallace added 15 points there for the Roadrunners and Adokiye Iyaye had 12 points of his own.
Old Dominion is 7-1 ATS in the last eight Saturday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six overall. The Monarchs are 1-5 ATS in their last six versus CUSA and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games.
Meanwhile, the Roadrunners are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six after a straight-up win. UTSA is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 overall and 14-5 ATS in their last 19 versus CUSA.
The Monarch’s win over the Miners got pretty sketchy at times, and both teams combined for just 98 points. Still—and despite mustering just 50 points—it goes down as a win for Old Dominion, and the train keeps rolling.
The texture of this game will be vastly different however, because UTSA can and will score. I expect a high-flying and close game here, with the Roadrunners covering in the end. It makes sense, as the Monarchs are pretty cold in most ATS facets lately and UTSA is conversely hot.
