The Southern Illinois Salukis go on the road to oppose the Valparaiso Crusaders in MVC college basketball.

The Southern Illinois Salukis are looking for consecutive victories after upending Indiana State 79-57 on Saturday as a one point favorite.

Southern Illinois is currently 6thin the Missouri Valley and while first place is unlikely a top four spot is within their grasp.

Kavon Pippen led the Salukis with 21 points, four pulls and four assists while Sean Lloyd Jr. added another 21 points and seven rebounds.

Armond Fletcher gave Southern Illinois 20 points and nine rebounds followed by Aaron Cook who chipped in with four points and seven assists.

The Valparaiso Crusaders are in need of a win of a win after losing to Drake 84-79 on Saturday as a five point underdog.

Valparaiso has lost seven of eight and are 8thin the conference because of an inconsistent offense that has struggled to score 60 points at times.

Deion Lavender led the Crusaders attack with 16 points and six boards with Javon Freeman and Ryan Fazekas tossing in 15 points and a combined six pulls.

Derrik Smits gave Valpo another 15 points and six rebounds followed by Jaume Sorolla with seven points and six boards.
