Vanderbilt Commodores +2 O/U: 143.5
The Alabama Crimson Tide will meet the Vanderbilt Commodores in college basketball action on Saturday.
Alabama comes in here with a 14-8 record overall. The Tide are 2-1 in the last three games, dropping to Auburn and taking out Mississippi State and Georgia during that span.
In the win over the Bulldogs, Alabama’s Tevin Mack led the scoring on 25 points, six rebounds and two assists. Kira Lewis was right there with him for the Tide in that one with 24 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
Over on the Vanderbilt side, they’re 9-13 this year. The Commodores are suffering on a 10-game losing streak right now, dropping to Oklahoma, Kentucky, Missouri and Arkansas in their last four outings.
In the loss to the Razorbacks, Vanderbilt’s Joe Toye led the team with 18 points and four rebounds. Also in double-figures for the Commodores there were Simisola Shittu (12 points; eight rebounds) and Saben Lee (11 points).
The Tide are 5-1 ATS in their last six versus the SEC and 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall. Alabama is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Commodores are 16-37 ATS in their last 53 overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. Vanderbilt is 1-7 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 after an ATS win.
Alabama is a potentially dangerous team every time they step on the floor. The Tide can hang with anyone in the nation if they’re on their game, and we’ve seen some nice efforts during this season.
With that in mind, and looking at Vanderbilt’s points totals recently (67 or fewer in each of their last four games), I don’t have a whole lot of issues taking Alabama here.
