VCU Rams -4.5 O/U: 133.5
The Dayton Flyers and the VCU Rams will match up in college basketball activity on Wednesday.
Dayton enters this one with a nice 11-5 record so far. The Flyers are currently enjoying a six-game winning streak versus Western Michigan, Presbyterian, Georgia Southern, Richmond, GW and UMass.
In the win over the Minutemen, Dayton’s Jordan Davis logged 21 points, two assists and three rebounds to lead the team. Jalen Crutcher also had a nice outing for the Flyers with 19 points, four assists and three rebounds.
Over on the VCU side, they’re 11-5 this season as well. Following a four-game win streak over Wichita STate, Rider, Fordham and La Salle, the Rams fell in their last outing to Davidson.
In the loss to the Wildcats, VCU’s Marcus Evans led the team on 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists. De’Riante Jenkins was the only other Ram in double-figures there with 10 points, four rebounds and one assist.
The Flyers are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five following an ATS loss. Dayton is 3-13 ATS in their last 16 road games and 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the Atlantic 10.
Meanwhile, the Rams are 7-20 ATS in their last 27 Wednesday games and the under is 12-4 in their last 16 overall. The under is 7-3 in VCU’s last 10 home games and 5-1 in their last six following an ATS loss.
It’s been a nice six-game run for Dayton lately, and they’re not having a whole lot of trouble during this current stretch thanks to a well-balanced roster of contributors.
As for VCU, they’ve been hit and miss this season but can play pretty well when they’re all clicking together. It’s just that the offensive numbers haven’t been there with consistency this season.
All things considered I have to go with the stronger team here and right now I feel like that’s Dayton. The Flyers have been pretty cold ATS lately though, so tread with caution.
