Virginia Cavaliers -12.5 O/U: 126
The Louisville Cardinals and the Virginia Cavaliers will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.
Louisville is currently sitting at 19-11 on the season. After a string of three straight losses to Syracuse, Virginia and Boston College, the Cardinals won their last game against Notre Dame.
In the win over the Irish, Louisville forward Jordan Nwora led the charge on 20 points with 11 rebounds. Malik Williams also notched a double-double for the Cardinals in that one with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Over on the Virginia side, they’re 27-2 this season. The Cavaliers last fell on February 9 and since have rattled off wins over North Carolina, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Pitt and Syracuse.
In the victory over the Orange, Virginia guard Kyle Guy led the way on 25 points with seven rebounds. Doubling up for the Cavaliers in that game was Ty Jerome with 16 points, 14 assists and three boards.
Louisville is 1-4 ATS in their last five overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four Saturday games. The Cardinals are 1-4 ATS in their last five versus the ACC and the under is 6-0 in their last six overall.
Meanwhile, the Cavs are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games and 24-9-1 ATS in their last 34 versus the ACC. Virginia is 42-16-1 ATS in their last 59 overall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games.
During their losing streak, the Cardinals had trouble scoring, with a high of 59 points and a low of 49 over that three-game stretch. It’s encouraging to see Louisville put up 75 versus Notre Dame, but the concerns are still there.
Considering what Virginia does to their opponents on a regular basis, it’s tough for me to imagine Louisville making any kind of a run here. I’m going to roll with the Cavs here.
