The William & Mary Tribe and the Virginia Cavaliers will match up on the college basketball court Saturday.
The Tribe come into this one at 4-7 overall. This season, William & Mary has notched victories over High Point, Saint Joseph’s, Hampton and William Peace this season.
In the Pacers game, William & Mary’s Nathan Knight doubled up on 26 points, 14 rebounds and two assists. Justin Pierce also had a nice outing for the Tribe in that one with 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Over on the Virginia side, they’re rolling strong at 10-0 this season. In succession, the Cavs have knocked out Towson, George Washington, Coppin State, Middle Tennessee, Dayton, Wisconsin, Maryland, Morgan State, VCU and South Carolina.
In the Gamecocks game, Virginia’s Ty Jerome led the way on 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Kyle Guy chipped in 18 points and Ramadi Diakite added 10 points with five rebounds.
The Tribe are 37-17-2 ATS in their last 56 Saturday games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. William & Mary are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, Virginia is 4-1 ATS in their last five following a straight-up win and 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games. The Cavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games.
William & Mary’s record doesn’t look all that great, but they do have a few nice wins on their card so far this year and can score when they’re so motivated.
Virginia can make good offensive teams look downright foolish however, so even with a thick line I’m going with the Cavaliers here.
