The Florida State Seminoles and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will meet up on the college basketball court Saturday.

Florida State comes in here at 24-6 on the year. The Seminoles fell to North Carolina back on February 23 but since have beaten Notre Dame, NC State and Virginia Tech in succession.

In the OT victory over Virginia Tech, Florida State’s top scorer was Mfiondu Kabengele with 17 points, nine rebounds and two assists. Terance Mann also had a nice line for the Seminoles there with 14 points and six rebounds.

Over on the Wake Forest side, they’re 11-18 this year. The Demon Deacons have lost three of their last four games, dropping to NC State, Syracuse and Duke in that time (with a win over Miami FL).

In the loss to Duke, Wake Forest’s Chaundee Brown topped the team on 21 points with 10 rebounds. Brandon Childress also had a nice night for the Deacons there with 19 points and five rebounds with three assists.

The Seminoles are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five after an ATS win. Florida State is 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 Saturday games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Deacons are 15-31 ATS in their last 46 overall and 16-35-2 ATS in their last 53 after an ATS win. Wake is 9-25 ATS in their last 34 versus the ACC and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 Saturday games.

Florida State has lost just one game since January 20, where they were coming out of four losses in a five-game stretch. The Seminoles aren’t necessarily blowing teams out, but they’ve also had some tough competition come their way which helps explain that.

As for the Deacons, they fell 88-66 the last time these teams met up, and though they should get a bit of a lift here I don’t think it’ll amount to much despite their surprising stand against Duke (71-70) in their last game. I’m going Florida State.
