The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons meet in college basketball action from LJVM Coliseum on Wednesday.

Georgia Tech enters this one at 12-13 so far. The Jackets are 2-2 in their last four games, falling to Notre Dame and Pittsburgh while otherwise beating Virginia Tech and Louisville.

In the win over the Cardinals, Georgia Tech’s Jose Alvarado logged 18 points with three rebounds and two assists, and Moses Wright had 12 points with six rebounds. Both Michael Devoe and Jordan Usher added 11 points apiece there as well.

Over on the Wake Forest side, they’re 11-14 this year. The Deacons are just 1-3 in their last four games, beating North Carolina and falling to Louisville, Syracuse and Miami-FL otherwise.

In the loss to the Hurricanes, Wake Forest’s Brandon Childress topped the team on 15 points with four rebounds and one assist. Ismael Massoud was also in double-digits there with 13 points and three boards.

The home team is 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings between these teams and the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. Wake Forest is 20-33 ATS versus conference opponents in the last three seasons and 19-32 ATS after a conference game over the last three seasons.

Georgia Tech is 2-1 ATS versus Wake over the last three seasons and 2-1 straight-up versus the Deacons in the last three seasons. Two of three games in this series have gone over the total in the last three seasons.

Georgia Tech played pretty darn well in their big upset of Louisville, and held the Cardinals to 58 points in a great defensive effort. The scoring hasn’t been there consistently however, so that’s why the Jackets’ recent record looks pretty choppy.

Wake has been all over the place offensively as well, and they managed just 54 versus the Hurricanes. Still, I feel a little better about the Deacons banging out a cover; should be a pretty good game.
