Wake Forest Demon Deacons +2.5 O/U: 137.5
The Pittsburgh Panthers and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will meet up in college basketball activity on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh comes into this one at 12-10 overall on the year. The Panthers are currently on a five-game losing streak, dropping to Syracuse, Duke, Louisville, Clemson and Syracuse again in that time.
In Saturday’s loss to the Orange, Pitt forward Oshae Brissett led the team on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Franklin Howard added 15 points for the Panthers there, and Paschal Chukwu posted 10 points with eight boards.
Over on the Wake Forest side, they’re 8-13 this year. The Demon Deacons have also lost their last five games, dropping to Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, Louisville and Clemson in that stretch.
In the loss to the Tigers, Wake Forest’s only double-digit scorer was Chandee Brown with 12 points and four rebounds. Jaylen Hoard put up a team-high seven rebounds and eight points for the Deacons there.
Pitt is 9-22 ATS in their last 31 Tuesday games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games. The Panthers are 0-5 ATS in their last five overall and 0-5 ATS in their last five versus the ACC.
Meanwhile, the Deacons are 11-27 ATS in their last 38 overall and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games. Wake Forest is 5-21 ATS in their last 26 versus the ACC and 1-5 ATS in their last six Tuesday games.
Since their big upset over Florida State, Pitt has been in a free-fall. They’ve got up against some pretty decent competition, granted, but the Panthers haven’t scored more than 69 points in any of their last five outings and even have a couple sub-57-point games in that span.
The good news for the Panthers is that Wake has been even worse recently, so this is an opportunity for Pitt to get a little mojo back—I’m sticking that way.
