The Colorado Buffaloes and the Washington State Cougars meet in Pac 12 college basketball action from the Wallis Beasley Performing Arts Center on Wednesday night.

The Colorado Buffaloes will look to build on their current 5-game winning streak after a 67-60 win over Arizona in their last outing. Lucas Siewert led the Buffs with 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting with a pair of threes, 9 rebounds and 3 assists while McKinley Wright IV came right behind with 14 points. Shane Gatling chipped in 11 points and 3 assists to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Colorado in the win while Tyler Bey fell one point shy of a double-double with 9 points and a team-high 10 rebounds as well in the win. Wright IV leads Colorado with an average of 13.5 points and 4.9 assists per game while Bey leads the Buffaloes in rebounding with 9.2 rebounds per game this season. As a team, Colorado is averaging 75.1 points per game on 46.4% shooting from the field, 32.5% from behind the arc and 73.6% from the foul line this season.

The Washington State Cougars will look to rebound after a narrow 72-70 loss to Washington in their last outing. Marvin Cannon led the Cougars with 25 points on 8 of 15 shooting with 3 threes and a team-high 8 rebounds while Robert Franks added 16 points with 4 triples as the only other Washington State player to score in double figures in the losing effort. Jeff Pollard chipped in 6 points and 7 rebounds while Jervae Robinson had 4 points and a team-high 6 assists. Franks leads Washington State in scoring with 22.2 points per game while CJ Elleby leads the Cougars in rebounding with 6.6 rebounds per game and Ahmed Ali leads Washington State in assists with 3 helpers per game this season. As a team, Washington State is averaging 77.2 points per game on 46.1% shooting from the field, 36.2% from behind the arc and 75.8% from the foul line this season.

Colorado is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 road games. Washington State is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 home games. The home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams and Colorado is 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams at Washington State.

Washington State getting points at home is tempting considering how much success the home team has had in this matchup and how little success the Buffaloes have had in this matchup. However, the fact that Colorado is favored on the road just goes to speak to how well Colorado has been playing as of late and how poor the Cougars have been at home for the better part of conference play, losing their last 4 including 3 of which were decided by 9 or more points. I simply don’t trust the Cougars even if they played well against Washington, so I’ll lay the points with Colorado in this one.

Colorado -4
