The Line: Washington State Cougars -10.5 -- Over/Under: 158
The Montana State Bobcats and the Washington State Cougars will be meeting up on the college basketball circuit Sunday.
Montana State enters this game at 2-6 this year. The Bobcats’ only wins have come against Presentation back on November 11 and North Dakota in their last appearance Tuesday.
In the Hawks game, Montana State’s Keljin Blevins led the way on 18 points with six rebounds. Tyler Hall chipped in 16 points for the Bobcats, and Devin Kirby doubled up on 14 points and 10 rebounds in that 81-76 victory.
Over on the Washington State side, they’re 5-2 this season. The Cougars have fallen to Seattle and NM State this year but taken out Nicholls State, Cal Poly, Delaware State, CSUN and Idaho otherwise.
In the Vandals game, Washington State’s Robert Franks topped the team on 22 points, four rebounds and two assists. CJ Elleby had a nice outing for the Cougars as well on 20 points with eight rebounds and two assists in the 90-70 win.
The Bobcats are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven versus the Pac-12 and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 overall. Montana State is 1-4 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and the over is 4-1 in their last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Cougars are 6-1 ATS in their last seven neutral-site games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. Washington State is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games and 1-5 ATS in their last six Sunday games.
Outside of a few games this year, Montana State has been logging some real scoreboard duds—highlighted by a 35-point effort versus Indiana back on November 9.
Comparatively speaking, Washington State has looked a lot more competent on offense, and I don’t think they’ll have much trouble here. Give me the Cougars.
