The Washington Huskies and the North Carolina Tar Heels will meet up in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday in college basketball activity.

Washington rolls into this one with a 27-8 mark overall this year. The Huskies fell to Oregon in the Pac-12 Tournament, but managed to take out Utah State in the First Round of the NCAA tourney on Friday.

In the win over the Aggies, Washington’s lead scorer was Noah Dickerson with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jaylen Nowell added a nice line for the Huskies in that one as well with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Over on the Tar Heels’ side, they’re 28-6 this season. North Carolina dropped 74-73 in the ACC Tournament to Duke last weekend, but came out in the First Round with a big 88-73 win over Iona on Friday.

In the win over the Gaels, North Carolina’s top scorer was Cameron Johnson on 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Nassir Little helped out the cause with 19 points and four rebounds for the Tar Heels in that one as well.

The Huskies are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS win and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 NCAA Tournament games. Washington is 18-40 ATS in their last 58 Sunday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall.

Meanwhile, the Heels are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 versus the Pac-12 and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. UNC is 1-4-1 ATS in their last six NCAA Tournament games and 4-0 ATS in their last four after a straight-up win.

Washington has lost two games since March began and both were to Oregon, who has been something of a bugaboo for them this season. In any case, the Huskies have looked pretty solid otherwise aside from an offensive hiccup here and there.

Most people are familiar with UNC and what they can do as a team, which explains why the line is double-digits here. I don’t see the Huskies staying in this game for too long, so I’m just going to do the obvious thing here and go Tar Heels without overthinking it.
