The Sacramento State Hornets and the Washington Huskies will meet up in college basketball action on Friday.

Sacramento State sits at 6-2 on the season so far. The Hornets have taken out Simpson, UC Davis, CSUF, UCSB, CSUN, Holy Names and Westcliff in succession this year.

In the Westcliff game, Sacramento State guard Marcus Graves led the way on 18 points, five rebounds and one assist. Ethan Esposito added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Hornets and Chibueze Jacobs just missed doubling up on 11 rebounds and nine points.

As for Washington, they’re 7-4 this year. The Huskies have notched wins versus Western Kentucky, San Diego, Santa Clara, Texas A&M, Eastern Washington, UCSB and Seattle but dropped their last outing to Virginia Tech 73-61.

In the Hokies game, Washington’s Matisse Thybulle was the team-high scorer on 16 points with two rebounds and two assists. David Crisp added 12 points with five assists for the Huskies and Nahziah Carter logged 11 points with nine rebounds to miss a double-double.

The Hornets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 versus the Pac-12. The under is 4-0 in Sac State’s last four versus the Pac-12 and 3-1-1 in the last five Friday games.

Meanwhile, the Huskies are 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the Big Sky and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. Washington is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games.

Sure, Sac State’s record looks pretty solid this year, but they’ve also played some relatively tame teams. The Hornets’ two losses came 75-58 to UCSB and 76-67 to Portland—not exactly close outcomes.

Washington has looked a little better in many of their tougher games, namely an 81-79 defeat versus No. 8-ranked Gonzaga.

I like the Huskies to bounce back after a sub-par effort versus VT and take a cover here.

Washington Huskies -16.5
