The TCU Horned Frogs travel to the WVU Coliseum to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in a battle of two teams jockeying for position in the Big 12. TCU has won their last four games, most recently holding Oklahoma State to 40 points and winning the game 52-40 to improve their record on the season to 12-3. West Virginia won a big matchup over Texas Tech, winning 66-54 to improve their record to 13-2 on the year.
West Virginia averages 71.5 points per game to rank 187th in college basketball while shooting just 42.7% from the field and 30.1% from the three-point line. Leading West Virginia is the front court duo of Oscar Tshiebwe and Derek Culver. Tshiebwe averages 11.9 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game which lead the team in both categories while Culver trails shortly behind with 10.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. The ball is controlled by freshman guard Miles McBride who averages 10.1 points per game and leads the team in assists with 2.2 per game.

TCU is led in scoring by senior guard Desmond Bane who averages 17.1 points per game and adds 3.5 assists per game. Both West Virginia and TCU boast some of the best defense in college basketball. TCU has allowed opponents to muster only 60.2 points per game while holding teams to 39.8% from the field.
