SoCon college basketball pits the Chattanooga Mocs at the Western Carolina Catamounts.

The Chattanooga Mocs have been in struggle mode of late with

losses in four of five after an 85-72 defeat at North Carolina-Greensboro as a 15 point underdog. This was competitive until the second half with Chattanooga holding a 52.9%-46% shooting edge with UNCG totaling 12 more shots.

Ramon Villa was the Mocs top offensive option with 18 points and three yanks on 8-12 marksmanship with David Jean-Baptiste adding 16 points and four helpers on 5-9 from the field and 4-5 at the line. 

Chattanooga received 15 points and three assists from Donovann Toatley on 6-10 shooting followed by a ten point, eight rebound effort by Kevin Easley.

The Western Carolina Catamounts need a change in momentum after dropping four in a row following a 74-54 defeat to visiting Wofford.

Carlos Dotson was the Catamounts top threat with 17 points and seven boards along with a team high five turnovers on 7-13 accuracy while Onno Steger added 13 points and eight rebounds on 3-9 shooting and 5-6 at the line. 

Josh Cottrell gave WCU nine points on 3-4 from beyond the arc while Marc Goesselin chipped in with seven points and three pulls.
