Florida Atlantic has lost 3 of their last 5 games and have been led by their defense this season which comes into this game ranked 136th in scoring defense, 104th in defensive FG%, and 78th in rebound margin. Western Kentucky has lost 5 of their last 8 games and have been below average statistically on both ends of the court as they currently rank just 209th in scoring offense and 200th in scoring defense.
Florida Atlantic recently picked up a big win against Old Dominion, however, showed that they can be inconsistent as they followed that big win with a shocking loss at home against Charlotte. Western Kentucky has also struggled with consistency as although they have wins over Wisconsin, Saint Mary’s, and West Virginia, they couldn’t get victories over Indiana State or FIU. This is a game I’m probably going to stay away from however, as neither team is playing their best basketball as late, I think the play is with Florida Atlantic and the double-digit points.
