Tennessee State Tigers (2-4) at Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (3-3)
|Date & Time||Saturday December 1, 2018, 7:00 PM (EST)|
The Line: Western Kentucky Hilltoppers -17.5 -- Over/Under: 142.5
The Tennessee State Tigers and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers will meet up on the college basketball circuit on Saturday.
Tennessee State comes into this one at 2-4 on the year. The Tigers have beaten Carver and Fisk this season but fallen to Lipscomb, Little Rock, CSUN and Kentucky otherwise.
In the Wildcats game, Tennessee State was led by Donte Fitzpatrick-Dorsey’s 18 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Kamar McKnight nearly doubled up on 10 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
Over on the WKU side, they’re currently 3-3 this year. The Toppers have taken out TN-Martin, Valparaiso and West Virginia but dropped to Washington, UCF and Indiana State this season.
In the Sycamores game, Western Kentucky’s Charles Bassey led the team on 16 points and eight rebounds. Jared Savage (11 points; nine rebounds) and DeSean Murray (11 points) also finished in double-figures for the Toppers.
The Tigers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 Saturday games. Tennessee State is 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine overall and 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 after an ATS win.
Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 following an ATS loss. WKU is also 14-6 ATS in the last 20 non-conference games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 versus the Ohio Valley.
Tennessee State has been close in a couple of their losses, and didn’t get completely blown off the floor versus Kentucky, but they’ve still got a long way to go.
As for WKU, their last couple of games have gone south pretty badly, but I don’t think we’ve seen this team’s full potential yet. I’m going to go with the Hilltoppers here.
