Cincinnati had all they could handle from the Bulls, however, the defensive was solid down the stretch and the Bearcats were able to pull away after taking a 79-72 lead with 1:37 left in regulation. The Wichita State Shockers snapped their 4-game losing streak and improved to 8-8 (1-3 AAC) on the season after defeating the UCF Knights, 75-67, this past Wednesday night. Wichita State was outstanding on the offensive end against the tough UCF defense and was able to pull away after taking a 69-63 lead with 1:08 left in regulation. Wichita State shot 51.9% from the field and outrebounded UCF by a 35-22 margin in the victory. Leading the way for the Shockers was Markis McDuffie who had 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Cincinnati has won 6 of their last 7 games and once again have been led by their defense which currently ranks 11th in scoring defense, 34th in defensive FG%, and 56th in rebound margin. Wichita State had a solid offensive performance against a very good UCF defense, however, will need to improve their T-246th ranked scoring offense & 298th FG% if the Shockers want to continue to pick up conference victories.
Cincinnati is a tough defensive team, however, the Bearcats have really struggled against the spread as of late and are just 2-2 in their last four games which those victories were by just an average of 4.5 ppg. Wichita State might not be as talented as we’ve seen in the past, however, there is no denying that they are still tough at home after defeating a very good UCF team. I expect this low-scoring tight game so give me points. Take Wichita State and the points!
