Wednesday college basketball features the SMU Mustangs visiting the Wichita State Shockers.

The SMU Mustangs are eyeing consecutive wins after surging past Tulane 85-75 on Saturday as a 15 point home favorite.

Tulane led by three at the break before SMU took command late in the second half behind 45.9% from the floor and 16 forced turnovers.

Jahmal McMurray led the Mustangs late surge with 29 points and three yanks followed by Isiaha Mike with another 20 points and three pulls.

Ethan Chargois gave SMU eleven points with Nat Dixon adding another eleven points and eight rebounds while Feron Hunt added seven points and seven boards.

The struggles of the Wichita State Shockers continued on Saturday with an 80-60 loss at UConn on Saturday as a 5.5 point road dog.

Wichita State fell behind 43-28 heading to the locker room and never recovered with the Huskies holding a 50%-33.8% shooting edge.

Jamarius Burton was the Shockers  best  offensive weapon  with 16 points followed by Erik Stevenson with a 12 point effort. Markis McDuffie gave Wichita State nine points and four pulls while Dexter Dennis contributed eight points.

SMU Mustangs are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. American Athletic Conference. Wichita State Shockers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall and  are 2-11 ATS in their last 13 vs. American Athletic Conference. 

Neither team has looked very of late so something small on the points if you must…
